Gallaudet shut out on the road against Eastern Mennonite

HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Gallaudet University men's soccer team was shut out here Wednesday night by Eastern Mennonite University, 6-0, in a non-conference match.

Gallaudet (4-6) surrendered three first-half goals before the host Royals (6-5-1) added three more marks in the second half.

Freshman goalie Shane Angel (Mechanicsville, Md.) made seven saves in the loss.

EMU was led by Jesus Trejo, who netted a hat trick, as he scored the first goal along with the fourth and fifth goals.

  • This is the third time GU has been shut out this season

Gallaudet will travel to New York this Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. to face SUNY Poly (3-4-3, 2-3 NEAC) in a conference match.
