Johnson makes second appearance on All-NEAC men's soccer team

LATHAM, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2019 Men's Soccer All-Conference selections and Gallaudet University sophomore forward Chad Johnson (Gardena, Calif.) was named to the second team for a second straight year. Johnson is the first Bison to earn multiple All-NEAC men's soccer honors in a career.

Johnson ranks fourth in the NEAC for penalty kicks (4-for-4), fifth in goals (nine), seventh in points (21), 10th in shots (43), 14th in game-winning goals (two) and 20th in assists (three). Johnson had multiple goals in two different games this season and had a season best five points (two goals, one assist) against Penn College on Sept. 21. In two seasons, he has compiled 23 goals, seven assists, 53 points, 112 shots (61 shots on goal) and four game-winning goals.

Penn St.-Abington senior forward Hernando Villamil was selected as the NEAC Player of the Year, Penn St.-Harrisburg junior defender Shammah Gahomera was picked as the NEAC Defensive Player of the Year while SUNY Cobleskill freshman goalie took home NEAC Rookie of the Year honors. Penn St.-Harrisburg head coach Daniel J. Krzyzanowicz was selected by his peers as the NEAC Coach of the Year as the Lions won the regular-season title with a 10-1 NEAC record.


This is Gallaudet's fifth All-NEAC honor since the school joined the conference in 2010.
