Bison drop double dual meet at York (Pa.)

YORK, Pa. – The Gallaudet University men’s swimming team dropped a double dual meet Friday night at York (Pa.) College by the identical 86-9 score against the host Spartans and Penn St.-Altoona.

The Bison (0-8) have lost eight straight to start the 2012-13 season. Last year, the Bison defeated Penn St.-Altoona, 127-72, and narrowly lost to York, 110-90.

Out of 11 events the Bison best individual finish was fifth overall in nine different events and fourth in the 400-yard medley relay. Junior Tony Dall (Indianapolis, Ind.) was five seconds off the first-place pace in the 50 freestyle as he finished in 27.82 seconds. Dall was 14 seconds off the winning pace in the 100 freestyle with his time of 1:04.48. Sophomore Myles Goldberg (Frederick, Md.) was 17 seconds off the first-place time of 1:04.01 in the 100 breaststroke as he touched the wall in 1:21.26.

Gallaudet is off until the New Year and will next host North Eastern Athletic Conference foe Cazenovia College in the final home meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m.
