Bison begin the season on the road at Frostburg

FROSTBURG, Md. – The 2015-16 season got underway for the Gallaudet University men's swimming and diving program here Saturday as the Bison competed in a double dual meet. The Bison lost all three contests; 212-39 to Frostburg State University, 195-49 to Davis & Elkins College and 164-65 to Hampden-Sydney College.

Freshman Gideon Firl (Frederick, Md.) led the Bison with a fourth-place finish in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.46 seconds. Firl finished fifth in the 100 freestyle as he touched the wall in 1:02.26. Firl capped the day with a seventh-place finish in the 100 IM (1:12.52).

Junior Ryan Klock (Payullup, Wash.) was seventh in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:38.49 and eighth in the 50 butterfly (34.37).

Junior Xuan Lin (Mount Prospect, Ill.) was seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:31.22) and eighth in the 50 breaststroke (40.24 seconds)

UP NEXT
The Bison will begin North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) competition on Friday, Oct. 30, in New York as they go up against Cazenovia College.
