WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University men's and women's cross country program has officially released its 2016 fall schedule as announced by head coach Byron Moore.
The Bison will begin the season in Baltimore County, Md., when it runs in the Mustang Stampede hosted by Stevenson University on Sept. 10.
Two weeks later, Gallaudet will get its first look at the 2016 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Cross Country Championship course as the Bison travel to Lancaster Bible College. The Chargers will host their LBC Homecoming Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m. GU will run twice this week as it travels to Winchester, Va., to participate in the Hornet Harrier hosted by Shenandoah University on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The month of October finds the Bison back in Lancaster, Pa., for their second race on the NEAC championship course. GU will run in the Charger Invitational on Oct. 1. The Bison stay in the state of Pennsylvania the following week, running in the Jack St. Clair Memorial Championship on Oct. 8 hosted by Philadelphia University.
GU will then make the short trip up to Utica Park in Frederick, Md., on Saturday, Oct. 15, to run in the Hood College Open.
The Bison will receive a week off before the 2016 NEAC cross country championship on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Lancaster, Pa.
If any Bison runners qualify for the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship that will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, and the national championship meet is a week later in Louisville, Ky.
There are no home meets for the Bison in 2016.
