Gallaudet men's cross country team finish 13th at Hornet Harrier

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Gallaudet University men's cross country team finished 13th out of 14 teams at the Hornet Harrier hosted by Shenandoah University on Saturday. The Bison tallied 390 team points as they ran up-and-down the hilly cross country course at Kernstown Battlefield.

University of Mary Washington won the 6K meet with 44 points. Washington & Lee University came in second with 55 points followed by Bridgewater (Va.) College with 103 points. McDaniel College senior Gavin Gibson won the race in 19 minutes, 31.4 seconds.

Freshman Jared Spinale (Camby, Ind.) was Gallaudet's top finisher as he crossed the finish line in 80th place with a time of 23:58.3. Junior Dalton Attanasi (Hammonton, N.J.) followed in 94th place (25:45.1). Junior Kai Christenberry (Birmingham, Ala.) was the third Bison to finish in 95th place (25:48.5) while the duo of freshmen Liam Painter (Edgewood, N.M.) and Peter Tran placed 99th (26:19.2) and 100th (26:19.9), respectively, to round out GU's top five runners.

Gallaudet will travel to Winter Park Place, Md., to run in the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University on Saturday, Sept. 29.
