MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team dropped a 63-51 decision against College of St. Elizabeth on the road Sunday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest.
Gallaudet (4-13, 2-9 NEAC South Division) had three different players reach double figures in points led by freshman forward Elena Ciccarelli (Whitesboro, N.Y.) with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Britny Latham (Cleveland, Tenn.) drained four three-pointers as she registered 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Freshman guard Claire Tucker (Middletown, Md.) tallied 10 points in the loss.
St. Elizabeth (11-6, 8-3 NEAC South) led by as much as 14 in the first half before the Bison closed the gap in the final three minutes. The Eagles took a 25-19 lead into the intermission. St. Elizabeth scored 28 points off the 29 turnovers committed by the buff and blue.
The Eagles had four players in double digits led by Kelly O'Dell's 15 points and 10 rebounds and five steals performance. Sabrina Jarmolinski matched O'Dell with 15 followed by Cheyenne Grant (13 points) and Jade Wilson (10 points).
GU returns home and will host conference opponent Wilson College (2-13, 2-8 NEAC South) on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in the Field House.
