For a fourth time Neild named NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its conference student-athlete of the week awards for the week of Feb. 19 and for a fourth time this season Gallaudet University's junior guard/forward Hannah Neild (Litchfield, N.H.) was selected as the NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.

Neild  continued her consistent play by averaging 27.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Bison. In a 78-76 win at Wilson, Neild netted 28 points with nine rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks. She added 27 points, four rebounds, two steals and three blocks in a 65-56 win against Penn St.-Abington to help the Bison secure the No. 2 South seed. Neild finished the regular season as the NEAC leader with 591 points, 23.6 points per game and 93 steals. She also ranks nationally in nearly a dozen offensive categories.

This is Gallaudet's fourth NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season and Neild's fourth of her career.

Gallaudet will host Penn St.-Berks in the NEAC tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Field House on Padden Court. The winner of this quarterfinal game will advance to the NEAC championship weekend (Feb. 24-25) held at the site of the highest remaining seed.
