Gallaudet's Hannah Neild named NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its conference student-athlete of the week awards for the week of Nov. 27 and Gallaudet University's junior Hannah Neild (Litchfield, N.H.) was selected as the NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.

Neild scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block in the home opener against Washington & Lee on Nov. 21. In a 68-64 loss to Rutgers-Camden, Neild gave the Bison a 24-point performance with five rebounds, four steals and one assists. Neild closed out the week with 52 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, three assists and one block, while shooting 46.2 percent from the field in her two games.

This is Gallaudet's first NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season and Neild's first career NEAC award.

Gallaudet will begin conference play on Wednesday night (Nov. 29) at 7 p.m. against Penn St.-Berks (1-2).
