Neild picks up another NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its conference student-athlete of the week awards for the week of Feb. 18 and Gallaudet University senior guard/forward Hannah Neild (Litchfield, N.H.) was selected as the NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for a fourth time this season.

Neild scored 63 points as the Bison picked up two wins to secure the No. 1 seed in the South Division. Neild netted 28 points with four rebounds in a win against Lancaster Bible College before recording a double-double with 35 points and 11 rebounds in the regular-season finale at Penn College. The Bison senior guard/forward shot 56.8 percent from the field and averaged 31.5 points per game. In two games, Neild also totaled 15 rebounds, 10 assists, five steals and three blocks.

Neild is currently second in NCAA Division III for points scored (614) this season and third in points per game (25.6). The Bison offense ranks sixth in the country as the buff and blue average 80.3 points per game.

This is Gallaudet's fifth NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season and Neild's eighth career NEAC award.

Gallaudet (16-9) will next play in the NEAC tournament semifinal round on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Keuka College. The game time and opponent will be announced after the first round is complete.
