GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Sept. 18 and Gallaudet University's Brittany Mallach (Milton, Ontario) earned Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her performance last weekend as GU increased its winning streak to three straight.

The junior forward scored six goals on 11 shots as Gallaudet went 2-0 for the week. Last Sunday, she scored a natural hat trick with three straight goals, in the first 15 minutes, against Hollins University. She later added a fourth goal against Hollins as GU won 9-2. The day before, she scored twice in an 8-0 win over University of Valley Forge. Mallach is second in the NEAC for goals scored (eight), shots (21) and third in points (16).

Bryn Athyn College goalie Allie Warren was selected NEAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week. She made a career-high 14 saves in a 3-2 loss to New Jersey City University. Warren earned her third shutout of the season with five saves in a 1-0 win over Old Westbury. She leads the conference in save percentage (.913) and is second in goals against (four) and goals against average (0.80).

This is Gallaudet's first NEAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors this season. This is Mallach's first NEAC weekly honor in her career. In fact, this is Gallaudet's first NEAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week award in five years. Gallaudet women's soccer has four NEAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards since it joined the conference in 2010 (two offensive, two defensive). Virginia Keeler was the last Gallaudet women's soccer player to earn the NEAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week award on offense on Oct. 12, 2010.

Gallaudet will host Bryn Athyn College (4-1) on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. at Hotchkiss Field. This will be the conference opener for both teams.
