GU weathers a storm of shots in shutout loss to Keuka

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team were shutout, 5-0, here Saturday afternoon at Hoy Field against Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on homecoming.

Gallaudet (7-6, 3-5 NEAC) had to drop back on defense as Keuka (6-6-1, 5-1-1 NEAC) peppered the Bison goal with 27 shots (15 shots on goal). Sophomore goalie Silvya Levesque (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) had a busy day as she made 10 saves.

Kelsey Maurer led the Wolves with two second-half goals. Keuka led 1-0 at the half but scored four times in the second half, in an 11-minute window.

Gallaudet will host Wells College (5-9, 3-4 NEAC) tomorrow (Sunday, Oct. 22) at 2:30 p.m. in a key conference contest at Hotchkiss Field.
