Mallach named NEAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Oct. 29 and Gallaudet University senior forward Brittany Mallach (Milton, Ontario) earned the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Mallach scored five goals and two assists on six shots in a 9-0 win over Trinity Washington University in non-conference play. Mallach's standout performance came on Senior Day as she completed her career as the all-time leading scorer in program history.

Penn St.-Berks sophomore goalie Bristol Pizzuto earned NEAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. The sophomore goalkeeper recorded four saves in a 1-0 non-conference win as the Nittany Lions handed the University of Scranton its first loss of the season. Pizzuto closed out the week with a combined shutout in a 2-0 victory at Penn College on Friday night.

This is Gallaudet's third NEAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honor this season. This is Mallach's second NEAC weekly honor in her career.
