GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its conference student-athlete of the week awards for the week of Jan. 29 and Gallaudet University junior Julia Miller-Notestone (Medford, Ore.) was selected as the NEAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season.
Miller-Notestone won three events in Gallaudet's 74-70 win over Sweet Briar last Saturday. The junior won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:16.34 and was also first to touch the wall in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.27) and 500-yard freestyle (6:07.41). This is Miller-Notestone's second straight week earning the NEAC Women's Swimmer of the Week honor.
This is Gallaudet women's swimming and diving program's third NEAC Swimmer of the Week honor this season and Miller-Notestone's fourth of her career.
Gallaudet will close out the regular-season schedule next Saturday, Feb. 2, at home as the Bison host Elizabethtown College (3-7) on Senior Day at 1 p.m.
