GU women's indoor track and field runs at SU Invitational

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Gallaudet University women's indoor track and field team raced in the SU Invitational here Saturday hosted by Susquehanna University.

A small women's squad was led by senior Shellane McKitty (Yonkers, N.Y.), who finished 28th overall out of 44 runners in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.91 seconds. Freshman Courtney Langford (Chicago, Ill.) was the next Bison to finish the event in 9.41 seconds. Senior Melissa Mischo (Salt Lake City, Utah) was 40th (9.51) while freshman Anyia Brown (Wilmington, Del.) was 44th (9.85).

Sophomore Karina Mitchell (Las Cruces, N.M.) was 27th in the 60-meter hurdles as she crossed the finish line in 13.11 seconds.

Brown, Langford, Mitchell and McKitty came together to race in the 4x200 meter relay where the Bison finished 10th (2:06.53).


  • Langford was 35th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.63 seconds followed by Brown in 40th place (32.20)
  • Junior long-distance runner Nicole Musey (Prince George, British Colombia) was 40th in the 1-mile run (7:05.41)

The Bison will close out the indoor schedule next week at the Mason Last Chance meet hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., on Sunday, Feb. 26.
