Morris honored with third NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Nov. 2 and Gallaudet University's Danielle Morris (St. Louis, Mich.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week. This is her third NEAC honor this season after being named Player of the Week on Sept. 28 and Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 12.

The senior outside hitter led the Bison in a stellar performance in three matches last week, tallying 40 digs and seven blocks (three solo). She had double-digit totals and at least two blocks in all three matches, including 12 digs and two block assists to go along with 10 kills and four aces offensively in a thrilling 3-2 win over Scranton on Saturday. That marked her second double-double effort of the week, as she had two blocks, 17 digs and 14 kills in the 3-1 setback to Catholic on Wednesday. Morris would close the week with 11 digs, two solo blocks and a block assist in a match up against Lebanon Valley to wrap up Saturday's tri-match for the Bison, who reached the 20-win mark for the seventh straight year after wrapping up the regular season 20-12 overall.

SUNY Polytechnic Institute senior Morgan Eberley was named the NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week as she led the Wildcats to a 3-1 record.
