Thomas earns her second NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honor this season

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Oct. 2 and Gallaudet University's Darriyan Thomas (Vallejo, Calif.) earned her second Women's Volleyball Player of the Week this season. 

The senior outside hitter was the Most Valuable Player at the Worthington Classic as Gallaudet posted a 4-0 record and won the classic championship for the first time since 2011. She totaled 69 kills, 61 digs and 15 service aces in five matches last week for the Bison. Thomas finished the week with a .204 hitting percentage and averaged 4.8 points per set.

Wells College senior outside hitter Anuhea Leite-Ah Yo was named the NEAC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week as she amassed 99 digs over five matches for the Express.

This is Gallaudet's third NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season. This is the seventh NEAC weekly honor for Thomas in her career.
