Thomas earns fourth NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honor

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Oct. 30 and Gallaudet University senior Darriyan Thomas (Vallejo, Calif.) earned her fourth Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honor this season.

Thomas, an outside hitter, led the Bison to a 2-0 week that included a thrilling 3-2 win over Lancaster Bible College. Thomas tallied 42 kills, 38 digs and three block assists as she recorded back-to-back double-doubles. She recorded a season-high 25 kills and 22 digs in the win over the Chargers to secure the No. 2 seed in the NEAC South Division for the Bison.

Lancaster Bible senior libero Myranda Kemrer was named the NEAC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after she tallied 91 digs in four matches last week.

This is Gallaudet's sixth NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season. This is the ninth NEAC weekly honor for Thomas in her career.
