Daniels named NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Sept. 11 and Gallaudet University's Adele Daniels (Austin, Texas) earned Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance last weekend at the Smith College Invitational. 

The sophomore outside hitter had 44 kills, 30 digs, four service aces and two block solos as Gallaudet went 3-1 at the Smith College Invitational. In the first three matches of the weekend, she posted 13, 15 and 13 kills respectively. Daniels recorded a .220 hitting percentage on the week. Daniels was the NEAC's Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year last season, in addition to being named to the all-conference first team.

Morrisville State College's Samantha Wolf was named the NEAC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week as she tallied 39 digs and five assists as she averaged 6.25 digs per set in league play. Morrisville went 3-0 during the week, including a pair of NEAC North Division wins.

This is Gallaudet's second NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season. This is Daniels' first NEAC weekly honor in her career.
