Daniels earns second NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honor

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Oct. 22 and Gallaudet University junior outside hitter Adele Daniels (Austin, Texas) was named Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.

Daniels tallied 67 kills, 74 digs, 10 service aces and six assists. The Bison's junior outside hitter posted four double-doubles out of the five matches, totaled 81 points and recorded a .196 hitting percentage. Daniels had 33 kills in league play, including 13 against Morrisville State and 20 against Cazenovia.

SUNY Poly junior Claire Ladlee was selected as the NEAC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after recording 10 blocks last week. The Wildcats' junior had four solo blocks and one block assist early in the week against Utica College. Ladlee added four more solo blocks and one block assist in two NEAC games over the weekend to finish with eight solo blocks and two block assists. She also had 13 kills and two digs.

This is Gallaudet's fourth NEAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season. This is the third NEAC weekly honor for Daniels in her career and second this season.

GU (15-16) will make the short trip to The Catholic University of America (18-11) on Wednesday, Oct. 24, for a non-conference match against at 7 p.m.
