PHILADELPHIA - The Gallaudet University women's cross country team finished 16th overall at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Cross Country Championship meet hosted by Philadelphia University in the City of Brotherly Love.
C.W. Post freshman Kendall Fitzgerald was the first collegiate runner to cross the finish line with a time of 23 minutes, 28.3 seconds over the 6K course. Philadelphia Runner Track runner Margaret Vido won the race in 21:57.6.
Philadelphia University won the collegiate meet with 43 team points as it had five runners in the top 14 places. Senior Stephanie Watson was the second collegiate runner to finish in 24:24.1.
Gallaudet's top runner was freshman Kristi Luna (Austin, Texas) as she placed 61st in the collegiate standings and 101st overall with a time of 30:23.7. Freshman Fatuma Ali (Tucson, Ariz.) was the next Bison to cross 70th (31:38.9) and freshman Kori Koss (Green Bay, Wis.) followed right behind in 72nd (32.02). Junior Ivy Sahneyah (First Mesa, Ariz.) and freshman Rudy Sewell (Ashland, Ky.) finished 86th (35:16.2) and 97th (43:54.7), respectively.

GU will make the short trip up to Utica Park in Frederick, Md., next Saturday, Oct. 15, to participate in the Hood College Open.
