TOWSON, Md. - The Gallaudet University women's cross country team finished sixth overall at the Goucher College Classic here Saturday out of seven teams.
St. Mary's (Md.) College won the meet with 30 team points as its top five runners placed in the top 11 spots. The United States Merchant Marine Academy was second with 55 points, followed by Harford Community College (72 team points), Goucher (84), Baltimore City Community College (137), Gallaudet (141) and Notre Dame of Maryland University (164). Goucher senior Soliana Goldrich won the 6K race in 25 minutes, 31.98 seconds.
Gallaudet senior Kristi Luna (Austin, Texas) was the first Bison to cross the finish line in 22nd place with a time of 30:26.23. She was followed by junior Nicole Musey (Prince George, British Columbia) in 32nd place (31:47.63).
Freshman Taylor Nguyen (Ballwin, Mo.) was the third Bison to finish as she crossed in 36th place (32:31.64). Sophomore Jessalyn Wortham (Chandler, Ariz.) was next for GU in 52nd place (39:50.51). Senior Ivy Sahneyah (First Mesa, Ariz.) was the fifth Bison to earn team points as she clocked in at 41:02.49 in 53rd place.

- GU only had five runners in the meet
- Seven teams had five runners finish to earn a team place
Gallaudet will next run at the Hood College Open next Saturday, Oct. 14, at Utica Park in Frederick, Md., at 10:30 a.m.
